Why you should reply to every Google review

Replying is not only good manners. Future customers read your replies as closely as the reviews themselves: they show whether you listen, how fast you react and how you handle disagreement. A listing where nearly every review has a reply feels more trustworthy than a silent one, and replies are part of what makes a profile look actively managed.

The obstacle is time. Writing ten different replies after a busy service without repeating yourself is tedious. This free tool gives you a starting point: three varied replies you copy and tweak in a few seconds, so that no review is left waiting for an answer.

How the generator works

It uses no artificial intelligence and no server. Replies are assembled in your browser from a bank of hand-written templates, sorted by rating and tone. The fields you fill in, such as first name, business name, the points mentioned or a free detail, are inserted in the right places. A field left empty simply disappears from the sentence.

The "Other suggestions" button draws different templates from the bank so your replies do not all sound alike. That matters: identical copy-pasted replies get noticed quickly and feel automated.

Positive, neutral and negative reviews

For a 4 or 5 star rating, the reply says thank you, picks up what the customer enjoyed and invites them back. For 3 stars, it acknowledges the experience was not perfect and shows the feedback is taken on board. For 1 or 2 stars, the reply apologises sincerely, avoids justifying itself and offers to continue the conversation directly, by phone or message.

That rule is deliberate: a public reply that contradicts or blames the customer does more damage than the review itself. Show readers instead that you take the issue seriously and are handling it elsewhere, calmly and without drama.

Personalise before you publish

A generated reply is a draft. Read it through, add a detail specific to the visit if you remember one, and sign with your own first name if you like. If the review mentions a specific problem, check that the reply does not contradict the facts.

And if you want more reviews to reply to, AvisBonus turns the review request into a small game: the customer leaves a review, spins a wheel and wins a gift. The flow of reviews goes up, and you now have what you need to answer them quickly.

Frequently asked questions

Does this generator use AI?

No. Replies are assembled in your browser from hand-written templates. No data is sent to a server.

How do I reply to a negative Google review?

Thank the customer for writing, apologise without justifying yourself and offer to talk in private. Stay calm and factual, even if the review feels unfair.

Should I reply to positive reviews too?

Yes. A short reply shows you read your reviews and encourages other customers to write one. Vary the wording to avoid a copy-paste feel.

Can I edit the suggested replies?

Of course. Copy the reply, paste it into Google, then adapt it with a detail specific to the customer before publishing.

How fast should I reply to a review?

As soon as you can, ideally within a few days. A quick reply reassures both the reviewer and future readers.
